For the best coffee experience at home, we recommend investing in a grinder so you can grind for your specific brew method. Opting for Whole beans is always the better option. There are so many grinders to choose from so do you research. If you’re not quite ready for that sort of commitment yet, we offer an option to order our Ground Coffee. Our Ground coffee suits Cafetiere, V60, Chemex and Aeropress.
We are confident these will work for the vast majority of home brew kits. However, we cannot guarantee the perfect grind for every home machine and unfortunately do not accept returns based on this. If you have a question or would like advice, please get in touch with our Brew team.

Re-launching in August 2021- We are regularly innovating our products as well as our practices because we’re never satisfied that we’ve done enough, and that drives us in continually developing better tasting coffee and better for the planet products. So we’re working on a range of Coffee Pod capsules, lids and bag packaging that are made out of a cornstarch material, which is a 100% bio-based renewable resource.
So that means, when you’ve made your coffee, you can simply place this waste in your local authority food-waste collection bin – the industrial composting process will break down our Pods and packaging in as little as 90 days.
For best results, our Pods will work with any of the original Nespresso-compatible or Dualit machines.

Our coffee may taste awesome already, but that’s been driven by an obsession, because we’re never satisfied that we’ve done enough, and that drives us in continually developing better tasting coffee and better for the planet products.
We’re not just talking about better quality coffee here but our ultimate goal of delivering equal value to both our customers and the producers who exist at opposite ends of the supply chain. By advocating Ethical Trading standards we ensure that we’re constantly improving buying practices with our coffee producers, and that everyone who makes our coffee shares in our successes.
Our coffee is about so much more than the liquid in your cup. It takes many more hands to produce small batch, specialty coffee than it does to turn out commodity coffee, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.

We suggest you drink the coffee within 21 days from the roast date on the bag. As a fresh product, coffee loses its inherent flavour over time but it doesn’t have a “best before date” as such, technically.

The date on the bag of coffee is the ‘best before’ date (12 months after Roasted Date). However, coffee doesn’t ‘go off’ as such and we often leave it to the drinkers discretion as to when to drink. We find coffee tasting ideal anywhere from one week to five weeks (although it can still taste great after this).

Keep your coffee tasting great by storing it at room temperature in an airtight container.
If we’re getting all technical about it, freezing coffee can be a very effective means for storing your beans or ground coffee without compromising quality, but only if you make sure that it is packed in a completely moisture free environment. If you don’t have a vac-pack machine, we don’t recommend you try this at home.

Our best sellers are Ruben & Fenton for Beans and Ground Coffee and Annbelle for those that usually drink Nespresso Compatible Pods. If you’re looking for a coffee subscription our best sellers are Josephine & Maximilian. If you like your espresso strong and on the dark side, we recommend Penelope. On the other hand, if you are a milk coffee drinker, we recommend Ruben.

We’re driven by doing the right thing across the business on throughout our coffee ecosystem
We pay farmers and coffee-growing communities a significant margin above the fair trade price in return for a premium product. This in turn gives them the means to invest in their farms, resulting in further increases in quality. It’s a process of continual improvement which results in a better life for the coffee-growing communities, and better coffee for you and us.

Coffee is not included in the list of allergenic ingredients as stated by the UK Government.

We use 100% arabica coffee, which is listed on our bags.

While the list of allergenic products does not include coffee, or even caffeine products, we do recommend that our coffee is not intended for use by people who have a higher sensitivity to caffeine.

We cannot not guarantee that our coffee products never come into contact with allergens. However, we do everything in our power to minimise the risk of it happening.
As part of our strict guidelines within our roastery, we don’t allow any staff or visitors to consume any foods or beverages (other than water) in our production areas.
